Abstract
In the study, it was aimed to assess the performance of the Battalgazi Irrigation District at the field parcel level for 2016. For evaluating the performance, water supply, crop production, and financial efficiency indicators developed by the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) were used. Some of the data used in the performance assessment was obtained from the Battalgazi Irrigation District, while the remaining data was obtained from surveys and field measurements. The performance evaluation results obtained at the field parcel level were determined as follows; net water supply ratio 0.52-2.10, total water supply ratio 0.31-1.26, plant production value per irrigated unit area 232.00-917.76 $ da-1, production value per unit area planned to be irrigated 174.00-917.76 $ da-1, plant production value in return for diverted water 0.26-1.09 $ m-3, plant production value in return for plant water consumption 0.24-1.14 $ m-3, and financial adequacy ratio 166-362%. In conclusion, inadequate water resources at the field plot level had led to failure in irrigation operations in the Battalgazi Irrigation Distrcit. The results of the present study were important for improving planned water distribution at the association level and contributing to scientific research in the region.
