Seeds JF - ISPEC Journal of Agricultural Sciences JA - ISPECJAS VL - 4 IS - 3 SE - Articles DO - 10.46291/ISPECJASvol4iss3pp456-467 UR - https://ispecjournal.com/index.php/ispecjas/article/view/81 SP - 456-467 AB - <p>This study was conducted to determine the effects of different salinity sources (CaCl2, KCl, MgCl2 and NaCl) and different concentrations (0, 2.5, 5.0, 7.5, 10.0 g/lt) of these compounds on the germination and early seedling growth characteristics of barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) seeds. Sur-93, which is double-row barley cultivars, was used as a plant material in research. Germination rate (%), shoot and root length (cm), shoot fresh and dry weight (mg), root fresh and dry weight (mg) and salt tolerant index (%) parameters were determined. According to the results of this study, differences between treatments and interaction in all properties except germination rate were found statistically significant. In terms of germination properties, seeds were relatively less affected by KCl source than other salinity sources.</p> ER -
