This is a set of guidelines governing the online publication of an article after the peer-review process is complete, but before the print issue or official volume/issue information is provided.
Aim
-To present research results to the scientific community without delay
-To enable authors to receive citations early
-To increase the speed of information dissemination
Status of Article Published in Early View
This is a peer-reviewed and accepted article.
The final content is considered scientifically sound.
Only:
-Page number
-Volume/issue information
-Sometimes minor typesetting details
are not yet finalized.
DOI and Citation Guidelines
The article is assigned a DOI.
Citations are made as follows:
-Author(s)
-Article title
-Journal name
-“Early View” / “Online First”
The DOI does not change; it remains valid even when the article is published in print.
Correction and Change Policy
In the early version of the article:
Major content changes cannot be made.
If there is an error:
-Erratum
-Corrigendum
-Retraction
Formal methods such as these are followed.
Copyright and Open Access
Copyright applies as defined at the acceptance stage.
For open access journals:
-The license (e.g., CC BY-NC 4.0) remains in effect even at the early view stage.
For closed access:
-Institutional or individual access is required.
Transition to Print Editions
The article is then:
-Assigned to a volume and issue number
-Page numbers are added
The content remains the same, only the bibliographic information is updated.
