Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to determine the infection rates of Rotavirus, Coronavirus, E. coli K99, Giardia, Cryptosporidium parvum and mix in lambs with diarrhea in neonatal period in Iğdır region, by means of rapid kits. As the research material, 300 lambs with diarrhea, 1-28 days old, which were brought to the independent veterinarians in the Iğdır region between February 15 and July 15, 2021 were used. Rotavirus, Coronavirus, E. coli K99, Giardia and Cryptosporidium parvum were screened with stool sample taken from lambs with diarrhea and the prevalence rate was respectively 21.7% (61/300), 23.7% (71/300), 31.7% (95/300), %, 8.3 (25/300) and 14.7% (44/300). In addition, 31.3% (94/300) lambs showing more than one factor were detected. As a result, Rotavirus, Coronavirus, E. coli K99, Giardia, Cryptosporidium parvum etc., which are common for lambs in the neonatal period. We think that vaccination against diseases will reduce neonatal lamb deaths.
